Easy Crêpes to Warm Up Your Evenings
Nothing says comfort quite like a warm stack of crêpes. Whether you enjoy them sweet or savoury, these French classics are the perfect treat to brighten up chilly evenings. With this simple recipe, you’ll have delicate, golden crêpes ready to impress in no time.

Ingredients

• 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
• 2 large eggs
• 1 ½ cups (375ml) milk
• 1 tbsp (15g) sugar (optional, for sweet crêpes)
• A pinch of salt
• 1 tbsp (15g) melted butter or vegetable oil
• Butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

1. Prepare the Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together. Gradually sift in the flour, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Add the sugar (if using), salt, and melted butter. Mix until the batter is smooth and runny. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
2. Heat the Pan:
Heat a non-stick skillet or crêpe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the surface with butter.
3. Cook the Crêpes:
Pour a small ladleful of batter into the pan, swirling it quickly to spread evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift, then flip and cook the other side for about 30 seconds. Repeat until all the batter is used.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
Stack your crêpes on a plate and keep them warm. Serve with your favourite toppings: Nutella, jam, sugar and lemon, or even savoury fillings like cheese and ham.

Crêpes are as versatile as they are delicious, making them perfect for any occasion. Why not gather around with loved ones, set up a DIY crêpe bar, and let everyone customise their own? Bon appétit!
