These sausages are made according to a traditional recipe that has been handed down through four generations at the Cottegnies Farm in Belgium. For many years now, the Marie Parmentier mushroom has been a great culinary delicacy for happy gourmets. Its smooth texture, its delicate taste and its "French" small size makes it the perfect pair for chefs' creativities as well as one of the best mushrooms to serve with fish or poultry. The Marie Parmentier also appeals to vegans, omnivores and vegetarians a like. Parmentier is a beautiful, round cow's cheese, decorated with a green-grey crust. This fine cheese is a raw milk cheese and is therefore very creamy. The flavor is mild with notes of butter and mushrooms. This small cheese combines well with red or white wine. The Marie Parmentier has been awarded the prestigious AOC Label Rouge since 1985, its taste can only be compared to that of Cheddar.
